Apollo Phantom 2.0 Electric Scooter Now Shipping Now Shipping North America

Canadian electric scooter company Apollo hits a new milestone. Their latest flagship model, the Apollo Phantom 2.0 Electric Scooter, is now shipping across North America. With top speeds reaching 50 MPH (80 km/h) in its most powerful version, this scooter is pushing Apollo further into the premium market.

Design and Development

The Apollo Phantom 2.0 was first announced late last year. High-performance scooter fans have been eagerly waiting for its release. Apollo designed this scooter from scratch, moving away from the generic, catalog-sourced designs many competitors use. This reflects their commitment to standing out in the industry.

Phantom 2.0 Variants

The Phantom 2.0 comes in two versions. The first is the Phantom 2.0 52V. It has dual 1,750W motors and a top speed of 44 mph (70 km/h). Even though it’s the “lower performance” model, it’s still a powerhouse.

The second version is the Phantom 2.0 Stellar 60V. This model is even more impressive, with dual 3,350W motors and a top speed of 53 mph (85 km/h). It’s built for riders who want the ultimate thrill.

Battery and Range

Both models use high-quality 21700 battery cells. The 52V version has a 27 Ah (1.4 kWh) battery, offering a range of up to 50 miles (80 km). The 60V model has a larger 30 Ah (1.8 kWh) battery, giving it a range of up to 56 miles (90 km).

Suspension and Tires

Suspension systems vary between the two models. The 52V scooter uses dual spring suspension, while the 60V model upgrades to DNM dual hydraulic suspension. Both models feature 11×4-inch puncture-resistant tubeless tires, reducing the risk of flats and keeping your ride smooth.

Display and Connectivity

The scooters come with the Apollo DOT 2 display. This simple dot matrix screen is easy to read, even at high speeds. They also include a QuadLock mount, compatible with QuadLock phone cases, so riders can use the Apollo app for more detailed ride information.

Additional features include NFC connectivity. Both models work with the Apollo App and Apple Find My, adding extra security and customization options for riders.

Safety Features

Safety is a priority for Apollo. The 52V model has dual mechanical disc brakes, while the 60V version steps up to dual hydraulic disc brakes. Both models are UL2271 and UL2272 certified for battery and electronics safety. They’re also IP66-rated, meaning they can handle heavy rain, dust, and sandstorms.

Visibility is another strong point. The scooters have 360-degree lighting, including a full LED deck strip and turn signals on the handlebars. This ensures riders are seen from every angle, day or night.

Pricing and Availability

Pricing starts at $2,399 for the Phantom 2.0 52V. This is part of a promotion, down from its original price of $2,999. Deliveries for this model began earlier this month.

The Phantom Stellar 60V costs $3,499. It’s also on promotion, reduced from $3,999. However, this model won’t start shipping until summer, likely in June or July.
